Jenny Fairservis, L.AC. is licensed to practice Acupuncture in Connecticut by the Department of Public Health. The intials L.Ac. means that she is a Licensed Acupuncturist.

Jenny holds a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico and a Bachelors degree from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

 

Jenny also is:

  • A Certified Diplomat by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
  • Certified in Clean Needle Technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
  • A Member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine


She completed a nine (9) semester, 2,500 hour program which included 540 hours of supervised clinical work during her schooling in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Most of her teachers were from China and had their M.D.'s as well as degrees in Oriental Medicine.

Western medical pathology and diagnosis, nutrition and pharmacology were also part of Jenny's training.

Although Jenny believes strongly in the healing powers of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, she respects what Western Medicine has to offer and would never suggest that a patient stop seeing their physician or taking their medications with out the supervision of their prescribing physician.
